Kettleman City

Elementary School

Principal’s Message

Welcome Back Parents and Students for the 2016-2017 school year and hope you have had a fantastic summer!

I am so excited to be serving as the principal of Kettleman City Elementary.  It is an honor and privilege to serve as the administrator where so many of my family members have attended. This will be my 16th year in education and I’m so pleased to return to the school district that I grew up in.

We have an amazing staff that is dedicated to making sure that our students have a safe, clean and dynamic place to work and learn.

Students, we need you show up each day to school with a positive attitude and

·        Be ready to learn

·         Respectful to everyone

·       Responsible for your school work and behavior

Parents, this year we will host Coffee with Castillo, the first Thursday of each month from 7:30 a.m.-8:00 a.m.  This is an opportunity to learn about the different activities and events that will be taking place on campus for the month and ask any questions you may have and help become a partner in supporting our school community.

It is important to me that every child at KCES has a positive, challenging and engaging school experience, and I will always try to be available to hear and address any concerns you have regarding your child’s education.

Our K-8 school is a special place where we can all work together to help lead our Coyotes to great academic success, providing them with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to make a successful transition to high school and life beyond.

Our staff has been very busy preparing our school to be ready for the first day on August 17th and I look forward to meeting our students and parents as we celebrate the beginning of our journey to learning this academic year!
